April Broadcast’s Virtual Sets now shipping with NewTek’s TriCaster

The first Asian company to be appointed by leading Live Television production system solution provider, NewTek Inc, USA.

MUMBAI, 13th September, 2013 – Mumbai based, April Broadcast Pvt. Ltd., a privately owned company in the Technology and Media space, stated that it has joined the prestigious NewTek Developer Network, enabling Virtual Sets to be used by US-based NewTek Inc’s TriCaster users, worldwide.

This was announced by April Broadcast at IBC 2013 – a leading convention and expo for Media and Entertainment technology which kicked off today in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

As the most versatile multi-camera live video production system on the market, TriCaster already includes a library of virtual sets created by NewTek. For the first time, NewTek is shipping out new models of the TriCaster with virtual sets made by April Broadcast and users can also access the aprilbroadcast.tv website directly from within the TriCaster user interface and choose from a range of sets specifically created for TriCaster.

Using virtual sets, any TriCaster customer can use a very small green screen environment to create the life-like illusion of a multi-million dollar network TV studio. This capability adds to the TriCaster system’s core functionality of broadcasting, streaming, publishing, projecting and recording video content – all at the same time.

The online shopping portal for Broadcast Graphics, www.aprilbroadcast.tv, is now offering virtual sets in specific layered.psd and LiveSet.exe formats that can be used directly within NewTek’s TriCaster.

NewTek’s clients include: “The X Factor,” ESPN X Games, New York Giants, NBA Development League, Fox News, BBC, NHL, Nickelodeon, CBS Radio, ESPN Radio, Fox Sports, MTV, TWiT.TV, USA TODAY, Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).
